Passenger

My amazing friend Amy called me on a Sunday morning, May 25st and told me that Mike, also known as Passenger was giving a surprise act in Amsterdam, at Vondelpark. It was at a freaking park, for free! And yes, I freaked out and I immediately came! I was so happy that I didn't had plans!

So I arrived, but of course I couldn't find the place where he was playing, because the park was really big, and I don't come there often. But a few minutes later I found it! And found Amy, so we were waiting till he came. He also arrived, and he was just standing there talking to people, and we all could see him. Some girls where walking to him and he took pictures with them. So I also walked to him, and I took a picture with him and talked for a few minutes with him. He is very sweet, and down to earth. He gives the time for his fans, and I think that's lovely as an artist!

After  that he did a soundcheck, which was also amazing to see. Never saw a soundcheck, to be honest. He said that it maybe sounded really bad, because it was a soundcheck, but to me it sounded so good! I don't know why he said it sounded bad. Maybe he has more experience with it. Oh well, the soundcheck was around 20 minutes I think, and then he said he is gonna play the real show at 3o'clock, we still had to wait a another hour.

Finally, it was 3 o'clock and Passenger came on stage and sang some of his songs! He was so funny, he talked to some people who were standing infront of him, and sang the most beautiful songs ever! He writes such good music, and he only sings it with his guitar. While he was singing a song, he suddenly sang another song, and it was dutch. He was singing a dutch song! I was so surprised, really I didn't accepted at all!

The show was so amazing, and Passenger really has talent! If you don't know him, you should look him up!
He has a new album 'whispers' so buy it if you like his music, you won't regret it!!!

Pentatonix

I need to warn you, a lot happend on this day so I'm gonna tell a lot in this blog!

Ok, so on April 29st I went to Paradiso in Amsterdam, to have a change to meet Pentatonix. I was too late to buy tickets - it was sold out very fast - so I tried to meet them, and I did. I met them! I was very happy about it. They all came one by one. I made some friends in the line, so I was in the line, with no tickets. This sounds weird. But anyway, I also talked to a guy, Jarno Ibarra (Dutch Beatboxing Champion and was in The Voice of Holland), who is friends with Kevin (the beatbox guy) and he got tickets from Kevin, his girlfriend was supposed to go with him but she needed to work. So he was trying to find someone else who wanted to go with him. He couldn't find someone. I was at the Paradiso since 10:30 am, and because I was there so early with no ticket he gave a ticket to me, which is so sweet! I was so surprised, and thankful cause now I could go inside and see the show! And I also had the ticket for free, because he also had it for free. Which is even more crarzier.

So I was inside, front row. I stood there with the people who I met and talked to in the line. The show began with they're medley of Daft Punk, which is a very good medley! The show was only with they're voices, acapella. And it was insane good, those people have talent, and god damn how much I want they're talent! They sang covers, but also originals. Both are amazing, if you haven't heard of Pentatonix, look them up on Youtube. You won't regret it! They also sang 'Run to you' which is an original of them. This song is no beatboxing, only five voices who are singing. It's so beautiful. The whole crowd was quite, and they sang they're song. It was unbelievable good! The whole show was unbelievable good, no joke! One of the best shows I've been to!

After the show, some people and me where waiting outside to maybe meet them. And of course, they came outside and talked to us. They talked to us like we are they're friends, they are so sweet! They didn't took pictures and walked away, no they were talking with us for such a long time. One of the reasons why I love them, They learned one Dutch word, and that was 'Stroofwafel' a famous cookie in The Netherlands. They got a few from fans, and they were obsessed with it. I asked scott if he learned more Dutch words, and he said no. I said, can you say 'Ik hou van jou' it means 'I love you' in Dutch. Scott said it, and he said it so good. I almost thought he maybe was Dutch, haha! Kevin also came outside, I met him in the afternoon a few times, like 10 times haha. He recognized me and said "Hey, how are you?" inside, I freaked out. But I responded with "Yeah, I'm good, so good! The show was so good" and he said thank you! Kevin is so sweet. he also tweeted me after the show, and again I freaked out haha!
Top left is Mitch, top right is Kevin, Middle left is Avi,
Middle right is Scott and under is Kristie. :)

The show was so good, the day was amazing! I will never forget this amazing day. I loved it so much. I met a lot of new friends. Saw Pentatonix a few times, best day!

Justin Timberlake

On April 18th I went to a concert of the always charming Justin Timberlake!
If I need to discribe this concert in one word, then it will be: mindblowing!! Gosh, that guy can do everything. He can dance, rap, sing, sing low, sing high, beatbox, play piano, play guitar. I think I forgot something, but whatever. I was not that close, cause I was with my mom and she doesn't likes standing. But I didn't mind. I saw Justin very good, and that's all that matters! I loved going to a concert with my mom, this was the second time I went to a concert with my mom and will definitely do it again!

He of course sang lots of his newest album '20/20 experience'. But surprisingly he also sang some of his old songs like, Sexy Back, What Goes Around, Cry Me A River,  FutureSex/LoveSounds and more. His dance moves are so amazing, he moves like it's so easy. He also did some songs with his guitar, that was so beautiful! I have to say, that was one of my favourite parts of the whole show. I also liked the end, he sang Sexy Back and Mirrors. Those are my favourite songs of him.

Nina Nesbitt

No zoom, I was so close!
On March, 30st I went to Nina Nesbitt's concert.
I went there around 12 o'clock, to have a place front row. I waited so long, but it was all worth it. I did had front row places, and I stood right infront of Nina!

She did the whole show acoustic, with her guitar and sometimes with the piano. She asked us which song we wanted to hear, and she will play it. Nina was so down to earth, she reacted to people in the crowd, said what she wanted to say. Her chair broke, and I said that her chair just broke. She was like "oh no, I just broke my own chair" She also covered some songs, and one time a girl screamed cause it was her favourite song Nina was gonna sing, and then Nina had the giggles and couldn't sing, she said to herself "focus Nina!" It was so cute. She also sung a song she finished last week, for the first time. That was so amazing! She sings with all her passion, and Nina definitely has the voice and the talent for it!

Me and Nina! :)
After the show she was gonna stand at the merchandise, to make pictures with people and give signatures. She took the time to talk to everyone who wanted to take a picture with her, I think that was very sweet of her! And of course, I also wanted to meet her. So I was in the line to meet her. You didn't had a lot of time to talk to her, but you could say the things you wanted to tell her. I said she was amazing, and I loved her voice. She said that I was very sweet, and thanked me for coming! Nina is really the sweetest girl ever, and has an amazing voice! I will definitely go again if she comes to Amsterdam next time!

Ellie Goulding

A few weeks ago I went to the amazing singer Ellie Goulding!
She had an awesome show in Amsterdam on February, 15th. She sounded the same as she sounds on her album, and that doesn't happen often, in my opinion or some just playback. But Ellie was amazing, she had a lovely outfit, gave all her energy in her performances and danced amazing! She opened the show with the song 'Figure 8' which I totally love! She opened the show so well and amazing, with lots of lights, the whole show was full of lights. My favourite song of Ellie is 'Stay Awake' and 'How Long Will I Love You' I was so happy that those songs were also in her tracklist for the show. When the song 'Anything Could Happen' came she asked everybody to stand up and just dance! And of course, everyone did what Ellie asked. She also sang 'Lights' and suddenly the whole crowd was full of lights, it was so beautiful! No words for it.
Ellie ended the show with her hit single 'Burn' It was a concert I'll never forget!

Of course I waited outside to maybe had a change to meet her, but I had bad luck. it rained, so she didn't came. Sure I was sad about it, but what to do about it? I will get my change to meet her one day, I hope. I still love Ellie no matter what!

Ellie was outstanding amazing, with everything she did in just 1 and a half hour. No words, speechless. All her songs are amazing to listen to, If you've never heard a song of her, you need to listen to just one song of her! It's breathtaking how amazing her songs are, you won't regret it!
